Where the sheeps have no name

Feb 21, 2006 17:20

February 14 was a perfect day. After a healthy breakfast at a little juice place, a red bus picked us up for our "Over the Top" tour of the countryside. These pictures are of the first segment of the drive. Brown grasses! Brown lakes! Sheeps!

The grey bit between the trees and the sky - that's Dublin!

Here's a closer look - Dublin!

Here's a massively deep lake at the top of a mountain.

Erik and I were trying to smile, despite freezing.

Freedom! Braveheart was actually filmed here, not Scotland.

Larsens!

Durrances!

Don took this picture of the "Tea Lake," a.k.a. the "Guiness Lake."

Paul operated our "Over the Top" tour knowledgably, humorously, and with an excellent soundtrack.

I might have exhausted my quota of exclamation points in this entry. More !!!!'s and Photos of Glendalough to come.
