Whee!
So the Wii comes out in less than 2 weeks. I wasn't planning on buying one at launch, but then on Friday one of my friends sends me this link to shopati.ca and there was a Wii deal for $225 CDN! Not bad, and with a coupon code there was an additional 5% off... total came out to $243.68 after taxes. For comparison purposes, MSRP is $279.99 CDN. I couldn't turn it down, so I pre-ordered. However, on the page it mentioned that it was for ATI Promotion winners. Obviously, it was by some kind of mistake that the deal made it out to the general public. A friend's friend works at ATI and apparently it was an internal only deal for some people who won a contest. I've heard that all the orders (at least for the non-winners) are going to be canceled, but it's been half a week already. I figure if they're going to cancel the orders, they should do it ASAP since launch day is on Nov. 19. It sure does look tiny next to the PS3 and 360 though...
