Today I went to give blood. The nurse drawing my blood told me I had very nice veins. It was one of the oddest compliments I have ever received.

But I was probably asking for it. When she asked me to roll up my sleeves, presumably to look for track marks, I told her that I took my heroin through my eyeball.

I probably should have flirted with the nurses. That way if things went wrong I could always pass it off as blood-loss delirium.
