I saw Dead Can Dance on Saturday. They were amazing. They performed at Radio City, so it wasn't really a show, but was more of a concert. In addition to the band proper there was a 40 piece orchestra backing them up.
I was really pumped because they played many of my favorite songs, including (as you may guess from the title of the post) The Ubiquitous Mr. Lovegrove.
It was "An Evening With" type show, and the time on the ticket was 8PM. Tune ups started at around five after, and the show started at about twenty after. They played straight through to about 10PM, and then did an encore with the orchestra, and then an additional encore with just the band. The show finally let out around 10:25.
Contrast this to the "Evening with Siouxsie Sioux" that I went to at BB Kings. There the door time was 7, and the show was supposed to start at 8. Siouxsie didn't come on stage until well after 9.
