Happy but broke
I went to the local gun show this weekend, and now I'm happy and broke (well, not quite, but getting there fast!). My latest acquisitions are an m/96 Swedish mauser and a Cimarron model P. I don't usually care for .38, but I'm thinking about getting into SASS shooting, and I wanted something lightweight with minimal recoil. The Cimarron is a fairly inexpensive single-action model designed for this type of shooting. I felt bad later this afternoon when my father called and sounded disappointed that I hadn't invited him to go to the show with me. He doesn't shoot much anymore, but he's always enjoyed it. To make up for it I invited him to go shooting next weekend and to go to the next gun show in June. He sounded like he's looking forward to it. :)
