Ok, enough with the emofgt. I'm better now. But...
I do need help with a different problem. I've started three or four new remixes in the last few weeks and none of them are really coming together due to a lack of motivation, so I'm going to list each one and a short description and YOU decide which one I should continue to work on before moving on to the next. Ready set go.
1. Starfox - Main Theme - "Mission Complete" (Working Title)
Kind of an emotional piece. Downtempo, features acoustic drumset with a little bit of vintage electronic percussion thrown in the mix, Rhodes-style overdriven electric piano, clean electric bass, and a neat reggae breakdown with steel drums.
2. Kirby Superstar - Grape Garden Theme - "The Vineyard" (Working Title)
I started this one for the newly-founded Kirby Superstar remix project over at OCR, but it's still really early in development and I'm the only one who has even attempted to do a track yet. Anyway, it's kind of an island-dance groove, with a latin marimba line and subtle filter bass that does nothing but its job. The percussion is pretty much what you would expect from the genre, dance kit + bongos, shakers, and the like.
3. Super Mario World - Castle Theme - "Fenced in (Claustrophobia)" (Working Title)
This one is super-short right now, mostly due to the fact that I hit a complete creative roadblock. The intro is awesome, though... I use the original line from the soundtrack on an SNES synth plus choirs, celli, and big phat drumloops to create a pseudo-creepy electronic vibe. I also use the "door opening" sound effect from the game as a transition, which I think will be a pleasant surprise.
Okay, so there are only three. That's okay, though... go ahead, leave your votes. I may or may not consider them, but at least you'll hear music either way.
