(no subject)
so it's fantastic outside. i can't wait to walk to crouse. it will be awesome.
this week went fairly well. the guest guitar concert last night was amazing. i felt really bad that i was kinda sleepy during. i did the head-bob thing in my theater class today. most likely, i looked ridiculous. oh well!
fun story:
so after the concert, funky times ensued. i was signed up for a 10pm-12am changeover in goldstein. there were supposed to be 5 people on the call. one of them never showed up and the show in the space we were supposed to be changing over ran a half an hour over. while it was great to sit around while being on the clock, the rest of the changeover was really sped. the people who were hosting (and setting up for) the next event kept changing their minds about what they wanted and where. on top of that we forgot a couple of things, other things were added at the last minute, things weren't where they were supposed to be, etc. i swear i was on the lift half a dozen times. at any rate, we finished at 1:45am, which kinda sucked since i wasn't that tired anymore, but it was still late. so oliver, ryan, and i went to acropolis to get food. we were about to leave (we had gotten our stuff to go) when all of the sudden there's a sound from the front of the store like big bird flying into the window. it wasn't a bird though. it was some guy's head. there was a decent sized fight going on right outside the doors and into the street. these guys were seriously trying to mess each other up. one of the guys knocked the other guy's head into the curb and the people working called the ambulance. luckily crouse hospital isn't far. so since the three of us decided it wouldn't be wise to march out into the middle of all of that, we sat and ate inside. when ryan and i walked home we passed a couple of kids who looked like they'd been in the fight (one kid had the biggest black eye i've ever seen) and...four cops standing on the corner. doing nothing.
who, even when drunk, gets that angry over something that they slam a guy's head into the curb? what was even freakier was that apparently some of the girls inside had (boy)friends who were participating and they weren't really all that concerned. i mean, they were yelling for them to stop and come inside, but still. when everything was said and done they just went back to their food instead of going and checking on them (because it wasn't just the one guy who was really messed up).
at any rate, i crawled into bed about three and got up for theory at 7:30. i would like to pass out now (especially after going to cosmo's with katy, wong, kat, laura, and ann!) but i should practice before going to work.
plug: come see ann, andrea, theresa and the rest of main squeeze rock out in the main squeeze invitational tonight in kittredge (in HBC) at 8! tickets = $2 at schine or at the door. other groups include orange appeal and...some all-male group from fredonia. it'll a night of awesome a cappella :)
