More Geocaching

Today I was once again out , this time with Kita, Claw, Kiba and her bro Kyle, we picked a spot at Bardon, near the base of Mt Cootha. This was a nice easy trek, and the cache itself wasnt far from the path this time, Kiba spotted it first, was one of those plant camo ones.

We were going to do a couple of others in the area but they were all listed as inactive, will have to keep an eye on them and go back another day.

After that it was back into the car and up onto Mt Cootha to find a cache called Misty, this one wasn't to far from Ch 10 tower, but it was up a steep path!
Another easy find once again by Kiba, me and Claw dropped off one of our geocoins each, I figure anyone who climbs up there deserves them lol.
claw took a bright yellow cap from this one.

Back in the car and off to Bardon park where we hoped to find a couple more before me and kita had to head home, the first was down a nice easy trail and again easy to find, I think Kyle got this one as we were distracted by a native beehive in a hollow tree stump, Claw claimed a wristband thing from this one and left some coins, I cant recall what type. Back to the car park and we took bearings for another one, This one almost killed me lol A very steep climb no matter which way you approached it, Kyle and Kiba found this one before I managed to make it to the top of the hill, which was fine cause it was down the other side ;) they kindly bought it up to the top so I wouldn't have to climb down to it (thanks guys)

I don't think we took anything from this one, Im a little disappointed with the junk some people put in these things, I realise that its not the main point of the exercise but it would be nice to swap some of our trinkets for other nice ones. I don't feel motivated to swap something nice for a tatty old maccas toy.

Back to the carpark and Kita called it a day for us, so we headed back home to get our grocery shopping done and the others went and found a few more caches in the area, 6 I think Claw said?

was good fun and a lot of fun to do with a group of like minds, we'll probably do another weekend soon over this side of town :)

A nice easy track, or was it?...
