Whoops
When I was told that the camping-trip was July 15-17, my calendar was apparently still on June. Consequently, I thought that it was Wednesday-Friday, which meant that panache62 wouldn't be able to go (not that I'm sure she would have wanted to go otherwise), and so I didn't want to go. Also, it meant that it was literally only a week from the day I was asked, which didn't actually give me sufficient notice to ask for time off work. Now I see of course that it's actually Friday-Sunday, which would've changed everything, but it is too late now as I am working on Saturday.
On the other hand, murmur000 will be in town on Friday and so now there will be people here that he can hang out with.
On a semi-related note, I asked for Friday off because originally we were going to go play a Magic tournament in Yakima on Friday, until the camping-trip was resurrected. Now, Friday had been a day off the previous week anyway, but I wanted to be sure. But apparently Tara decided that asking for a day off means that you must be penalized by losing a day of work, so she took away my hours on Wednesday! Otherwise, my schedule is unchanged from last week, including the fact that I don't work Friday. Thanks, Tara! (Of course, maybe there is some other reason, but I'm still rather upset that my hours have been cut yet again.)
