Japan gets the best stuff

Without a doubt, the video game that influenced me the most (as far as video-game playing goes) was Dragon Warrior (called Dragon Quest in Japan), which I got for free when I got my subscription to Nintendo Power. I consumed it, along with Dragon Warrior II, III, and IV -- but then they stopped. That is, in America. In Japan Dragon Quest V and VI came out for the SNES, and it wasn't until Dragon Warrior VII came out on the Playstation that the series returned to the States. The childhood tragedy of not getting to play V and VI could have been avoided had I been born in Japan, where Dragon Quest is an obsession. So much so that SquareEnix recently remade Dragon Quest IV for the DS, which will soon be followed by V and VI! As of yet, there is no announcement of a plan to bring them to the U.S., although, if they did, it could easily pursuade me to buy a DS.

And, as if that weren't enough, SquareEnix also just remade Final Fantasy IV (aka Final Fantasy II in the U.S.) for the DS. Again, there is no announcement of an American release, although there is hope because the remake of Final Fantasy III for the DS did come here and Final Fantasy has always been quite popular in America (in Japan Dragon Quest is more popular). I'd like to see what it looks like when Kain the Dragoon jumps in 3D. What do you think,
zetjintsu, would you buy it? I wonder if they are gonna do V and VI as well. . . I imagine that a remake of VI would be quite popular in the U.S.
