I was not at my Mom's house, for the first time in...well...since I lived in Alaska, I think. And Easter was just a regular weekend day, where the shops were inconveniently closed.
kikimoose volunteered to come to church with me. I don't exactly know why. Maybe it's a married thing. Church wasn't about Easter, it was about water conservation. Go figure.
I went to take care of the horses, after missing last week. I was tired in the car, on the way there, but I was really glad to have gone. I like the horses. They are fun to watch. I took a bale of fresh hay to the horses in the back pasture, and they came running up to get it at full gallop. Sometimes I think they do it just to be intimidating. They all veered around me though. It is important not to move when they do that. Especially because if you are not where they think you are, they may run you over by accident. It's funny that I don't think they would ever hurt me on purpose. They haven't all been treated nicely before getting to the farm. The new woman who does Sunday pm's with me is really high energy. I wonder if she ratchets it down when she is actually in with the horses. I have noticed that when I am hyper, the horses are hyper too. That is not necessarily the best when working with an animal that outweighs one by several hundred pounds.
