Another artist has tickled my fancy, namely
Damien Hirst, a member in good standing of the
Young British Artist movement.
He's got many interesting pieces, including his figurehead piece,
The Physical Impossibility of Death in the Mind of Someone Living.
Just as it appears, the piece is nothing more than a tiger stark in a formadelhyde solution, and yet there is something very cool about it. Maybe it's the shark. If only it was a Cobra-shark. I guess then it would have to be called The Physical Impossibility of Death in the Mind of Someone Incredibly AWESOME, which doesn't have quite the same ring to it. But, I mean, just look at it.
Now, I should also mention that I've been looking up Lego stuff all day.
And, lo and behold, there is a version of this piece with the artist in front:
How ridiculously awesome is that? Ridiculously!
And it gets more ridiculous. Lego also apparently feeds into my love of:
Portal
Futurama
Sci-Fi Action Movies
And much, much more.
