Seriously, people, naval shows can be funny.

Yeah, I know - I said I needed a break, and here I am, less than five minutes later.  What can I say?  I was feeling inspired.  Plus, at some point, I need to catch up on Leverage, Bones, CSI, and Smallville.  And maybe talk about Alias a bit.  So you see the problem I'm having.

You guys, I am REALLY not a fan of these hints that Tony and Ziva slept together in Paris.  I love Tiva as much as the next person, but if I were to make up a list of rules and give them to all TV executives (and, you know, they would then follow them and NOT write me off as the lunatic that I am).....the first rule would be to NOT build up a would-be couple and then get them together OFFSCREEN.  I've seen this happen so many times and it always feels like a slap in the face.  We want to see Tony and Ziva kiss each other (for real) and have a love scene.  We (or at least I) don't want little smirks and teasing and hinting around that maaaaybe we just had sex.  It feels like cheating.

For example - CSI: Miami (which I no longer watch, because (a) I got bored, and (b) Eddie Cibrian makes me vomit a little).  I loved Calleigh and Delko and wanted them to get together for ages.  And then, we get thrown the "twist" of "Oh, by the way, we're already together and you missed it all."  You know what that did for me?  It ruined them as a couple.  I was never able to feel the same about them after that, because I was just so disappointed that we didn't actually SEE it happen.  We never got that chance to watch Delko's obvious feelings get reciprocated.  And I really, really don't want that to be the case with Tony and Ziva.  I know it's not the same as finding out the couple has been together for months (at least, it's not the same at this point), but it still feels unfair to me.  Call me crazy (it wouldn't be the first time), but it's one of my dealbreakers.  And I don't WANT dealbreakers on NCIS.  I love it too much.

Moving on.....I know the show is attempting to build up this "thing" with Gibbs and Rena Sofer's character, but I would rather see him with the madam from this episode.  They just kind of sparked with each other.  I've never had an issue with Rena Sofer (she was a soap actress, so she already gets props from me), but her character was terribly annoying and I didn't buy into any "chemistry" she supposedly had with Gibbs.  In fact, I just felt uncomfortable with the prospect that she'd be coming back eventually.

I'm not saying anything different about NCIS:LA than I normally do, I realize, but - I LOVE THIS SHOW SO FREAKING MUCH.  I really, really do.  I love the ensemble, I love the humor, and god knows I love Hetty more than I can possibly express in words.

Tonight's story about Dom's abduction was amazing, and I love the fact that, so far, there's no ending.  In real life, missing persons cases don't always get wrapped up in a day or a week.  Dom is still somewhere out there, hopefully still alive, but the team has done all they can do.  They're at a dead end.  It looks like next week's episode is unrelated to this case, which means that the team has had to go back to their regular lives.  It's sad, but it makes sense.  That's what happens in life.

I honestly think it's such a great twist.  It's giving every member of that team so much more to play with, emotion wise.  And of course, the obvious plot point is the question mark hanging over Dominic.  Is he alive?  Where is he?  I assume it will come back into play at some point.....but as much as I like Dom, I'm okay with this story lasting for awhile and getting dragged out for the dramatic impact.

Soooo....that ending.  Does Kensi have a kid?  The impression I got from the pictures on the fridge is that she does.  It's definitely an interesting twist.  I can see her being a mom.  If that's the case, does the rest of the team know?  My gut feeling is no, since we've already heard Callen and Sam discuss whether she was really engaged to someone who died in Iraq, and admitting that they had no idea.  And more importantly - does Hetty know?  I feel like she knows everything, so I'd be surprised if she didn't.  I can also see her being really hurt if Kensi has kept it from her.  And where is the kid, anyway?  Is he/she with Kensi?  My gut feeling, again, is no, but I'm not sure.

Hell, for all I know, I'm reading the situation all wrong and there is going to be an explanation for the pictures that don't involve her having a kid.  But we'll see.

On a less serious note......I can pretty much guarantee that something in the first five minutes of this show is going to make me bust up laughing, and tonight was no exception.  They went out and did karaoke!  Nate sang the Backstreet Boys - and was still drunk!  Hetty sang Wanted Dead Or Alive AND got a round of applause from everyone when she walked in, which she humbly accepted!  Then, to top it off, she pretty much acknowledged the fact that they were all hungover.  HEE.  Oh, Hetty.  I think she might actually be my favorite character on all of television right now.
