Well, actually, after leaving your pompous attitude behind, you will listen to and you will enjoy this album - I assure it. The acoustic guitar molds very well, no, extremely well. Between the pretty rhetorics of the vocals and the easily molded acoustics of Mine‘s Not A High Horse, to the streamlined synths and the country twang of the electric guitar in Pink Bullets. In Saint Simon, the words flow like a clear-water creek - not in a white-water rapid mood? Although most of the songs use the acoustic guitar as its forefront implement, the electric backs it up and they complement each other very well. Sometimes acoustic rock does rock - and this is proof.

http://www.builttospill.com/Description: All the way from… Idaho, is Built To Spill! More often than you might think, some of the most rural locations breed the most awesome bands . I guess potato and corn fields are inspirational? Although this harmonious album came out in 1994 (and was fairly experimental back then), it is now very well applied. Some of the references in the lyrics will make you crack a grin. Among the wonderfully lyricized songs on here, Twin Falls would have to be my favorite “7UP I touched her thumb / and she knew it was me / although she couldn‘t see / unless of course she peeked” . I first heard Twin Falls as a cover by Ben Folds on his album Naked Baby Photos. If you’re starting to spread your musical interests or you’re new into the indie scene, I would highly recommend this album for you, this is a classic… and their newer LP’s only get better and better.
