Dunkelheit! Returns With a new home for 2010
Club 2010!
Dunkelheit is the only European alternative music dance party in Washington, DC. Dunkelheit means “darkness” in German and it lives up to its name by featuring the best dark electro music from the other side of the Atlantic. Expect to hear industrial, goth, synthpop, EBM, IDM, metal, noise, techno, trance, and other experimental types of music to keep you dancing. Dunkelheit is a monthly event held every first Friday./
Come Celebrate Dunkelheit’s New Location!
Dunkelheit is now at 2010 Lounge.
This new venue boasts a large dance floor with spectacular lighting
plus a large bar with additional seating. The friendly bartenders are experienced and can satisfy your drinking needs. Drink prices are very reasonable: $6 rail drinks, $4 domestic beer, and $5 imported beer.
2010 Lounge also offers a wide variety of call and top shelf liquors.

Dunkelheit is located at 2010 Lounge, 2010 9th Street NW, Washington, DC 20009 (Between U and V Streets). The club is Metro accessible from the yellow/green lines at U Street Station. Take the Vermont Avenue exit, walk one block on U Street and make a left onto 9th Street. Conveniently located across the street from 9:30 Club!
Dunkelheit is open from 9pm to 3am. 18+ with valid ID. Cover is $5.

The venue is located in the Warehouse / Market District. You will not see homes, other clubs, restaurants, etc. Please don't be alarmed - you're in the correct place.
411 New York Avenue, NE is located on the corner of New York Avenue and Penn Street,
In a huge Warehouse building which faces directly on to New York Avenue. The exact entrance to The Loft Warehouse is at the intersection of Penn and 4th Street, NE - approximately 100 feet from the New York Avenue entrance.
Parking
In addition to the FREE parking (60 spots) directly surrounding The Loft Warehouse, there is also FREE parking directly across the street at The PNC Bank (which is closed down) that holds a few hundred vehicles. There is a security guard posted outside of the Motel 6 next door that keeps an eye on The Loft Warehouse parking.
We will of course have additional event security in the area.
