This was like the... third or fourth time I've claimed Mushishi at anim20in20 and the first time I ever managed to finish the claim. It was actually quite hard, because I'm used to making relatively complex, layered icons and with Mushishi, you can't really do that. I also had a tough time finding images to fit a few of the themes. Here I was expecting this would be an easy 2 day rush job! :C
I'm not very happy with this set, but I had a hard time with it so it's experience gained!
autumn i'd initially used a different image, and has i found out the hard way, a lot of the mushishi watercolors look terrible when resized. i chose this one because he seemed like he was dressed for fall.
stripes i hope this qualifies because i could not for the life of me pick an image to put a stripe texture in. also, this icon is terrible.
unique ginko only has one eye, so i guess it's unique. terrible as well.
first letter g is for gaze is for ginko. hi there agalloch
three another cap i recolored (if anyone hasn't noticed yet, mushishi art is incredibly flat and i cannot deal with that). i really like this one but i worry that it won't show up too well on most people's screens?
shipping lmao shipping in mushishi. there's like, 3 recurring characters and only one of them (ginko) actually shows up that frequently. i'd wanted to make a ginko/adashino bromance icon but i ran out of time to go take caps.
set: duotone the idea behind this set is SO COOL but flat mushishi images really didn't lend themselves well to this.
set: ac 1, 3 and 5 are composites of images/textures, 2 and 4 are me being lazier than normal. also not too pleased with these.
