As Much As I Talk Filthy Lucre, This Still Is A Personal Journal Here

There's a danger in letting the journalling lapse, that I'll forget how to pull wisps of thought together into complete sentences, that I'll forget how to organize my memories into something more permanent, that I'll forget how to do this at all. But it's been difficult lately, since I don't have any show to go with my tell. Oh, probably I do if I scrounge around a bit, but it feels like I don't. Most of what's been going lately on has been personal growth, all internal and unseen, and, honestly, not terribly relevant to you.

(I would say that I am becoming more mature, but I just spent the evening singing "A Goalie's Stick Has A Knob On The End," to myself, so, not mature as such.)

I can say that sarinda's brief visit was wonderful. Having distant friends near and being allowed to be a tourist in my own city are a rare treat. Serendipitous gelato and Japanese stationery and the downpour to end all downpours and the give-and-take of (all-too-short) conversations-it felt like our friendship had hardly skipped a beat. Clearly another visit is in order and I shall hold her to it. (She has also put ideas in my head about where Megabus goes here in the northeast, so I might well travel up to Canada, thus avoiding the wroth of Ontario's parking enforcement for once. What a thought.) sarinda also returned to Toronto with one of my Tree Toppers, to be incorporated into a fantastical costume. Anticipating pictures of that very much, with electric blue hair or otherwise.

We also have an agreement to compare anglerfish headdresses, once they're complete later this fall.

And being able to say things like, "agreement to compare anglerfish headdresses," means that-even though I spend ridiculous amounts of time in my workroom, being solitary, forgetting how to pull my thoughts into complete sentences-there are still people out there that I resonate with and I do not have to explain to them why one would have the need to make bioluminescent sea life to wear on one's head. They've already thought of it too. Which is awesome.
