For a multitude of reasons, this year's [Generic Winter Holiday] cards are unavoidably going to be um. New Years-ish, at the earliest. But it is heartening to know that you can still sign up to get one. Consider it my Solstice gift to you.

the christmas card i got from my parents wasn't postmarked either. what is going on here?

you *might* get my christmas card by christmas, depending on how efficient the mail sorters are... but there are a bunch of people on my list that will definitely not be getting theirs until the new year. and they're somewhat christmas festive which will seem a tad bit inappropriate post-christmas (but at least they're getting a thank you card and photos as well).
