By day, Mooney is an over-achieving, six year-old girl living with her Grandparents at their junkyard in the forest. By night, Mooney is a member of a secret jazz band with a group of ex-convict animals.

Best synopsis ever.

Other than that, it was an evening spent enforcing tidiness on the kitchen. With some shimmies and hip circles thrown in (and undignified hopping around, because I retain so little from any dance class class I attend) as Dubmission had a string of funky, beat-heavy belly dance electronica in the playlist.

Some of you may be familiar with DJ Kerem's . . . er . . . unusual broadcast cadence and Shatner-esque emphasis? You have not heard a public radio pledge drive until you have heard Kerem deliver the standard membership-entreaty, complete with groovalicious music in the background at three in the morning. That's all I'm saying.

Tomorrow: Scones. Hockey. Walk. In that order. Everything else is negotiable.

items of auditory joy, whimsy, public broadcasting, moving pictures
