Change of Plans
Last minute decision hit me last night at 3 am and there's no way i could throw a party.
I asked my coworker, Zacharius, and he can't take my shift because once again I failed to remember that mine and his girlfriend's birthdays fall on the same weekend. Considering that on Sunday I'll be tired from working the previous night and the fact that it is a school night (and the Superbowl once again, football fans) I won't be celebrating. And by that I went so far as to demand that my mother not throw something for me. I'd rather go into my twenties with silence and dignity.
I figure that maybe next year will be worthwhile (I'll be legal in the US, if I ever want to go back). In light of this, I figure I'll get myself something nice like a camera bag I've been lusting over in eBay. I still have to plan the trip to "somewhere-not-here" during march break. I'd like to book it before my birthday, for fear of that plan (also) being ruined.
Bummer.
Besides, I need to take my Cal class way more seriously. I'd like to be able to pass this the first time round, something some people are saying is "highly improbable". Partying doesn't get my homework done. It also doesn't get my English assignments done either.
The only way I could have a fighting chance for this weekend is if I were able to get "someone" else to take my shift (I would have liked to take a different one but Zack needs the money...) and I won't be able to ask until tuesday. It'll be too short notice by then. Life loves kicking me in the ribs.
Alright. Integrals by substitution quiz on monday. I need to do good on this. Out.
