Started thinking the other day, I love food so much, I should blog about that. Well, I found out that I have IBS (a mild form of it) and have started a high-fiber diet to remedy said issue. For someone who loves her refined sugars, I thought this was going to be hard to do. I've limited myself to one small portion of refined sugar a day. Yesterday it was a 2X2 homemade brownie. Today it was French vanilla cappuccino cooler made with soy milk.
Oh, yeah I've switched back to soy milk. I forgot how much I really do love that stuff. I don't know why I stopped drinking it and went back to fat free milk, but I started drinking Silk Plain soy milk and I already feel better. Adam thinks I'm crazy, but then again, he eats six-slice bacon sandwiches for dinner.
So, this high-fiber diet includes All-Bran cereal and crackers, apples, whole-wheat english muffins and multi-grain bread. That's all I've included so far, but then again, it's only been a couple of days. I'm already feeling better, not so guilty and tummy-wise, I feel awesome. I do need to include other foods; I have a bad habit of getting bored with the same foods over and over again. I wish I could make my own almond butter, I love that stuff. it is almost $8 a jar at our local food co-op, so it's the peanut butter of millionaires (much like agave nectar is the sweetener of millionaires!).
I made a KICK ASS BLT this morning for breakfast. Yeah, I know, BLT for breakfast? Well, it was more like brunch and I was in the mood for bacon, so why not? Except, I used spinach instead of lettuce and I used a whole-wheat english muffin instead of bread. I couldn't skimp out on the mayo, Hellman's best. Soooooo good. I had leftovers, so I made another and wrapped it up for lunch tomorrow.
Saw two houses today, but not very promising. The first was too much work and the second has tile flooring throughout. Yelch, why do people like tile flooring? That house would have been so much better with hardwood. In the meantime, we'll keep looking.
