The Pathfinder Chronicles

We've started playing Pathfinder over DnD (not recently, mind) and we're taking it in turns continuing the same plot hook - being a mercenary group in Bierland. We're playing as the Dragon's Eye guild and using plot hooks and tidbits from each other to continue the story.

Simply put it's about the most consistent and involving thing we've done in the five years I have been in Panama City. I'm really enjoying.

vulpes did a great job with the last few sessions, adding plenty of story and things to do other than kill shit mixed with new, interesting and inventive ways to kill shit. Like using our profession or perform skills to disguise attacks on targets. The story side for me has been the best though. I found myself disappointed that Baron Von Richtoffen had died before we had the chance to regale him with the news of our successful mission and the safety of his daughter. Story wise it made perfect sense though and we got a shit ton of gold in turn as well, which was nice. I don't think I've been that invested in a pnp game before.

Here's hoping that George, Bef, zogar and I can keep the standard that high in the future when our turns come back around.

Also, we're looking at at using Skype and Map Tools or Game Table to run games with out-of-towners on line. If you're interested let us know.

Other news:

I'm feeling better, still physically drained, but I really do feel a hell of a lot better.

I have no idea what I want for Christmas. Beth said something around $50. hetros suggested an anthology like Aliens. That's a thought, possibly Band of Brothers? I think that's too expensive though. There are no games that I want. I'm already getting myself a netbook should I get a bonus this year (probably wait for the January sales to get more bang for my buck).

It would be easy to ask for W40k stuff, but I haven't played in over three months, haven't painted since the summer and don't know when I'll get the chance to get out of the house and play anyone anyway.

I think I should ask for something useful, maybe a cheap wireless keyboard/mouse or decent wireless headphone/speaker set so I'm not cabling up the kids or scrunching my hands together on a netbook keyboard... assuming I get a bonus.

It's much easier choosing for other people.
