One of my co-workers in the Tech Support area has apparently had a rough day of it. I wandered down to the Support Center to get a drink of water and heard him muttering, "Hi, this is [name], how can I Google that for you?"
I spent a few minutes out on the Oval today listening to
Tom Short, one of the local campus preachers, which brought back some memories of my early years at OSU when I had the free time to watch the circus that the campus preachers tend to encourage around them.
The spate of good weather has also led to a real cleaning of the back yard: we took the first tentative steps toward a habitable yard last night when we got rid of the leaves and branches that had fallen over the winter. Now the hope is to continue the clearing of brush back there and maybe make the yard a place to hang out from time to time. Preferably before
tesinth comes over next weekend. . . but I won't hold my breath.
My parents were in town last weekend as well, which was nice. They hadn't been down since Maggie had moved in nearly a year and a half ago, so this was their first chance to see the house since then (including a few new paint jobs and some reallocation of space). We were even able to put them up for the night, which was a nice change.
In further news, the discussion on ADF-Liturgists is rather fascinating (even if it has eclipsed the Study Program discussion entirely), and it's left me desperately awaiting the beginning of the Festival Season at
Trillium in two weeks.
