What have I been doing?
Sorry I haven't gotten to respond to comments. I will shortly.
On Wed., I got my eyes dialated while at the eye doctor, and was thus unable to read well enough to respond to the myriad of comments on Tues.'s entries.
On the bright side, my eye doctor was a hottie. And I mean that in the most professional way possible.
Yesterday, I was in Cleveland at the Zoo, as I had the day off of work for Veteran's Day.
And today, it's been work, meeting, or being shorthanded, but a few of you will know that I've still gotten the chance to read all the journal entries (now that I can read again).
Tina's in Cleveland still, enjoying some time with family. I have reading glasses at the moment, to try them out, but I'm unimpressed with what they do.
I've met autumn_kitsune, as well, who was at our last Grove business meeting, and who I took to dinner on Wed. night. Saw her last night, as well, when I ran into her in the grocery store completely at random. Might hear from her tonight. We'll see. She's in town for Army training.
I love meeting people from LJ.
Oh, and after a full year of not reviewing any books, I'm back on track to review one. You guys will like this, as it's one of the first books I read when getting into Paganism: DJ Conway's Celtic Magic.
Some initial observations, from exactly 50 pages in:

- Apparently, the Celts were henotheists. Or duotheists. Or Pantheists. Or Jungians. But they certainly weren't polytheists.
- There's a ritual in there (a "generic" one) that doesn't tell you what its intent is. This doesn't seem to bother her.
- The number 13 is of vital importance to "The Wiccan", but apparently we don't get explainations about that, nor do we ever see it mentioned more than once in her book.
- Wiccan = Celtic = Witch = Druid
