Let's New Years Resolutions!
OK perhaps its a bit early but I figured I might as well write them down before I forget them all.
Some things I plan to do in the coming year are:
1. Car modifications. I've got a 94 spec spoiler and Zendar mini racing antenna sitting in my basement, and I'd like to get these on asap. Hoped to get them on before Shaun left for Japan but that didn't happen. This might also entail a complete repaint of my car, we shall see.
Also in the works are the 94 spec tail lights, and likely some new shocks and springs (Eibach Pro-Kit and Tokico Illumina if you care) when I get the chance. Damn this is going to be one fine looking car when I get some cash infused into it. :)
2. Not spend $4000 on clothes. OK I probably didn't spend that much this year, but since the above resolution is going to cost me a pretty penny in the end, I'm better off buying only what I absolutely must have to remain stylin :)
3. Go to Japan once and only once. I went twice this year, and that cost me a bit more than I hoped, although less than perhaps I expected. I'll go say Hi to Shaun and Mariko, and maybe John if the timing is right and he manages to get his ass out there ;)
I'd actually like to hang out someplace new this time. Probably, I'll head over to Kyushu and tour around there. I hear the Hakata-bijin are exquisite :D hehe
4. Learn how to mix some drinks. Or at least figure out the names of some of them. I figure this would be a useful skill and an interesting sort of hobby.
5. Stay in shape. Haha OK everyone has this resolution but whatever. I'd like to stay about the same weight, but lower the body fat percentage. I guess I should see what that percentage actually is first. Oh, and seeing as the last year I trimmed 8 minutes off my Sun Run time, I'm hoping to do the same this year and make it in 60 minutes or under.
6. Finish off most of the video games I've bought but have yet to play through. Haha yeah I guess I need to finish Shenmue and start Shenmue II. Actually I'll consider this a success if I can finish the Dreamcast ones off, I think after the Sakura Wars box set I'll be too dead to take on the Langrisser series of my GBA games.
7. Improve my Japanese. I seriously need to take a class or something. I bought a bunch of books, including some basic stuff for review, but once I start to lose focus I just lose it completely. At least I remember 給料日, cause that's an important word :D
8. Finally get a new hairstyle. This one's been a long time coming folks, it might very well be the year....we shall see...
