Of fate and everything that follows
Nichkhun/Woyoung, character : Taecyeon, Junho
PG, wc : 1700~
On where Wooyoung stalks Nichkhun everywhere.
That is perfection.
That is by far the most beautiful two legged creature that ever graced the surface of the earth with its feet.
It was impossible for someone to even look that good. But he was . He is. Wooyoung thinks he probably was the billionth person to be awed by the perfection that was sitting there. Sipping his coffee innocently, waving his fingers around as he talks. His eyes warm and lively, his voice light and his laugh is buoyant .He ruffles his hair and shakes his head, and Wooyoung had a sudden urge to dug a hole and hid there for the rest of his life because it was too damn scary. This is frightening. This-, this-, ...attraction.
" Stop drooling over him and take this to them." Junho hands him a plate of cheese cake. Pointing at the table where his muse and friend was sitting. Wooyoung gave his best friend his renowned icy stare.
" I'm not drooling.". He replied, placing the plate on the wooden tray. Absentmindedly brushing the side of his lips, just in case Junho had a point. The said waiter rolls his eyes at the gesture of his friend.
The distance between them was not that much, but it was enough to make his stomach twirls uneasy as he approach their table. Oh for god sake, this is getting ridiculous. What's next? He thinks. Weakened knee? Shaking fingers? Stuttering speech? Just as his head finished mocking himself, the world starts to blur around him. The only thing Wooyoung can clearly see was the figure sitting casually by the window. Giving smiles, grinning, crinkling his nose. The man showed more facial expression in his fifteen minute stay than Wooyoung in a whole day. Sometimes even a whole week.
Wooyoung didn't realized it but he was staring. Staring until the brown eyed perfection stared him back.
" Yes?" He asked. Somewhat perplexed. Wooyoung didn't fail to notice how pretty his lips were. They're plump and pinkish. Might they taste like strawberries? The thought popped innocently in his mind.
" Uhm.. Cake,...cheese please." Wooyoung shakes his head, desperately searching for his common sense." I mean.... , Here... Order enjoy.." He didn't find them, his common sense, but he did manage to find his ability to jumble words into a series of incoherent nonsense. Wooyoung wanted to cry.
" If I may translate, I think he's trying to give you your cheese cake order Khun.." The other man intervened, clearly chuckling.
Those thick brows lifted in amusement as he moves to lift the plate right out of Wooyoung's platter, one side of his lips lifted in a faint smirk. " Thank you." He said sympathetically.
Wooyoung wished the earth would opened up and swallowed him whole right then and there, but like most of his wishes, it didn’t came true. So he manageto give a polite smile and nods instead. Walking away as if nothing out of the ordinary happens, as if it was just his way of serving his customers, as if he has always been a stuttering fool all his life. But in his heart he was wailing wailing and wailing. Because oh dear god, he just embarrassed himself completely.
" Oh come now, Woo... People like them don’t go with people like us."
" What do you mean people like them don't go with people like us? Are you being a racist?" Wooyoung responds carelessly.
Junho throws him a very cold look over his shoulder " You know what I mean." He took a clean cloth and continues to clean the glasses. " Besides, face it, its soo one sided. You can't take your eyes off of him, but he hasn't even gave you a second glance since he got here." He said looking to the two tall man that sat near the window.
It’s true. They were so caught up in their conversation that he didn't even gave Wooyoung a side glance whenever he goes back and forth with their order, except maybe for that cheese cake incident, which the guy obviously had put to past. Wooyoung figured his face was probably so plain and general that it didn't deserve it’s second glance from his oh so perfect brown doed eyes. It didn't disappoint Wooyoung. In a way, it was intriguing, fascinating almost.
" Cinderella stories only happens in fairytales, Woo. Do you really think fate would let it happen in real life??"
"Then I'm going to give fate a second chance to change her mind. And a third , and a fourth, a fifth... Whatever gives.."
Junho looks at him like Wooyoung was crazy. But Wooyoung had his mind set. He never was one to believe in fate and destiny. Life is what he make of it. He truthfully believes that.

" Nichkhun Buck Horvejkul... Wow, that's a mouth full." Junho said as he peered on the black leather clad planner Wooyoung was busy writing upon "Where did you get that?" He folds his arm, leaning back on the shelves behind him in the kitchen of their coffee shop. Wooyoung had come to help him waiter since Junsu is still on sick leave. Between his own job and dance practices, Junho is just glad Wooyoung still manage to come.
Wooyoung, in his white shirt and black apron was writing something on the back page of the planner. " I'm borrowing this. " He said, not bothering to look at Junho as he replied. He doesn't have much time left. It was a crazy crowd this morning and he didn't have the chance to work on the planner as he thought he would.
" Borrowing? Like the man gave it to you knowingly and consciously?"
Wooyoung halt his doing, licking his lips as he finally turns to face Junho. "Weell... borrowing like in a sense that I will return it- "
Junho scoffs in ." You're really are crazy, you know. Its not enough that you've been stalking the man ever since he stops coming here. When was that? Last summer? Now you're stealing things from him?"
" Hey, I'm not stealing. I'm going to gave it back as soon as I'm finished. "
" Why can't you just walk up to him and start a conversation like a normal person would, instead of tediously following the guy everywhere he goes. It’s creepy and if I were the guy it'll definitely freaked me out."
" Yah, you're the one to speak.. What about your own lifelong obsession,..that guy, Chansung? What have you done with your infatuation to him? I don't see any walking-up-and-starting-a-conversation method anywhere?"
Junho goes to the sink and starts his dishwashing, obviously irked by Wooyoung's blunt statement. " Don't bring Chansung in this.. You know I can't.. "
" Eesh... Don't get all gloomy now, Nuneo. We're practically on the same boat. If it makes you feel better today is the last day I'm following him around. No more of that. I think, ... I think I can't do it any longer." Wooyoung spun himself to face the planner, continuing his work.
" What? Are you giving up? "
" Yeah, something like that. You're probably right, he's just too far to reach, like a different universe far. I'm quitting him while I still can." Wooyoung writes on.
Something in his voice catches Junho's attention. He moves closer to Wooyoung. " You think it will be that easy? Quitting him? " He glanced at Wooyoung wearily, his voice softens. His best friend stops writing at the end of his remark.
" i’m giving up. He just too far to reach, even when i’m practically there in everyplace he goes, not once had he notice me. Today I bumped him on purpose, and though our faces was this close" Wooyoung gestures with his finger." He didn’t recognized me. I can’t go on, it’s killing me." Wooyoung lifts his head and smiles, conforming Junho’s suspicion because his smile was bitter and there's tears pooling in the corner of his eyes. " I'm leaving him a goodbye note ." He chuckled." Like he's even going to notice, but at least if he reads it. He'll know about me. God, fate is such a stubborn bitch." Wooyoung laugh, wiping his now falling tears with the back of his hand.

" Yo, woo. Your boy is getting restless. Think you should go out now before he decides to go home." Junho peered from the kitchen window to a certain handsome man sitting on one of the seat in the coffee shop.
" I know , I'm almost finished." Wooyoung said, working on his scrap book.
" This is crazy." Junho approach Wooyoung, sitting on the kitchen cupboard. " Him stalking you home every night . Who would've guess that on the day you decided to stop following him, the guy just happens to notice you and starts to following you back. " Junho shakes his head." He still didn’t remember that you used to work here though"
" Well, I only work here on summer, so officially I'm not working here right now, you are." Wooyoung shoves his stuff to his messenger bag.
" And to think that you almost gave up on him."
Wooyoung stopped and smiles as he remembers meeting Nichkhun at the bus stop that night. The first from the many nights where Nichkhun would follow him home. And with every glimpse of the tall guy behind him, Wooyoung felt his steps were as light as a feather, like he can bounced up and fly to the moon at any given moment. His smile would then turns into a heartily laugh whenever his mother handed him another "free ice cream day" ice cream with a knowing look, asking Wooyoung when he's going to bring ‘the kind hearted young man' home for dinner. His day would meet a perfect end everytime he pulls his curtain closed and saw a tall figure watching him from below.
Wooyoung stands before the back door, clutching his bag's strap and turns to Junho. " I think...., I think fate finally changed her mind on me." He smirked.
" I guess so... , hey, maybe she'll change her mind on me too? Maybe one day she can get Chansung to follow me. " Junho chuckled.
Wooyoung lifts his shoulder and smiles. " Who knows, maybe she would." He said before stepping out. A grin formed on his face as he strut the pedestrian sidewalk, because there, at the bus stop, he saw Nichkhun sitting. Waiting to follow him home.
