Heatwave!
So I was sitting here reflecting, and I realized that it was this exact same week last year that we got that major heatwave. I have to say, I'm much happier this year having a job and being in an air conditioned office. Last year, I was out of work, had literally just broke my ankle, and was stuck laying on a couch in an upstairs room that was routinely hitting 100 degrees without any air conditioning. I had a fan which was next to useless and some water bottles, but no real food as I could not get downstairs to the kitchen. Yeah, that was one seriously miserable week. In contrast this week I've played tennis three times, worked in my garden and have a pair of soccer games over the weekend....plus I'm bringing home a steady paycheck again. Life is most definitely good.
