Wanting to be someone else is a waste of the person you are. -Kurt Cobain

The world is striving to be perfect… to be flawless.
And Mag is not.

The world, the perpetual ‘they’ can replace their hair, their lungs, their souls and their minds- but not her sight. ‘It’s complicated’ they say, ‘it’s risky’ she is told.

But perfection is all that matters, upgrading your genetics.
Becoming more than your parents, more than you are meant to be.

Perfect.

But Mag is not- she hears her friends, her loved ones, replace all that is broken, weak, not-right… and she can only cling to that broken piece of biology that is her sight.

It’s out there- that answer, that promise, and that chance to watch a sunrise- but not yet, not while she is broken. Seeing that sunrise is all that matters, there is nothing else, for what use is gold if one cannot see how it glistens?

One day- one day Mag will see.

And if she has to sell her life, sign away her soul? She will, after all.. what use is a life, when you can’t watch it go by?
