Elured feels like he's in a woman's world - not that he's not used to it, what with living over at Kalush's, but Mag is new and he wants to make a good impression.

She takes the bag of brown sugar from Ilse. "Thank you, Ilse," she says. Then she discovers the brown sugar is the packed variety. "Hm, I think we're going to need some help." Rummaging for a wooden cooking hammer, she says, "Would one of you boys like to pound the brown sugar and break it up?"
I have actually done this, with a carpenter's hammer, no less.

Elurin is still looking for the sieve and finally finds it. "Ah!" He woops triumphantly as he holds it up for everyone to see.
You'd think he just found the Nauglamir, seriously.
