Seafood Gumbo Mix

Great for winter and totally home made! *squeels*

Seafood Gumbo

12-20 shrimp (shelled and deveined)

8 large sea scallops (halved and then split into six pieces)

6 oz crab meat (shredded)

1 cup frozen corn

1 cup chopped spinach

1 cup chopped carrots

1 cup diced tomatos

½ cup chopped mushrooms

½ cup chopped red onions

½ chopped green onions

6-8 cups beef stock

1-2 small cans tomato paste

5 tblsp chopped garlic

4 tblsp olive oil

3 tblsp brown sugar

3 tblsp onion powder

3 tblsp cumin

3 tblsp paprika

3 tblsp cayenne pepper

1 tsp salt

1 tsp black pepper

2 tsp parsley

2 tsp thyme

2 tsp savory

2 tsp basil

2 tsp bay leaf

4 cups rice

1)      Partially cook seafood with olive oil.

2)      Add veggies and spices, cover and steam for five minuets.

3)      Add beef stock and tomato paste.

4)      Start rice.

5)      Cook on high heat till a nice roaring boil happens.

6)      Lower heat and allow to simmer.

7)      Serve with 1 cup rice to 2 cups gumbo mix ratio.
