How about the rights of the child?
How about making sure that the child is taken care of? Supported? Loved? Why can’t you over come your own selfishness and support something you created?
Now before this becomes an all out rant, let me put this in place. I believe mothers and fathers have equal rights to a child they have created. But from there it gets difficult. There are so many situations that evolve from that to where it doesn’t just become a private issue between two people, but a humans rights issue involving the whole bloody country AND Dr. Phil.
It’s not a simple issue. It’s not as issue of right or wrong, but an issue of fairness. You’re not trying to punish an evildoer but establish a more favorable disposition between two parties. It is not always an issue of blame. She didn’t use birth control! He shoulda worn a condom! She’s a slut! He’s had seven previous children! Not every issue involves this. And even if it did, should a person be judged based on their mistakes? If so I can tell you right now we’re all going to hell.
