Yesterday a mentor and friend from S.'s work took us all out to eat to celebrate S.'s B-Day. We went to a Middle Eastern place near my place of business called Jerusalem Grill.
It is a wonderful place. I believe it is run by a contingent of Palestinian ex-pats. The place is decorated in that sort of cultural train-wreck style you get when a bunch of guys from another country put together a place to eat. There is the year-round Christmas tree. Its ornaments change but it is always there. Huge mosaic palm trees are on the floor. The place is set up to be both a cafeteria and a sit down restaurant. What is so great is the food. For a very reasonable price <$10 you can eat lunch that has an entree and 2-3 sides. These all have a very home cooked feel to them. Lots of stews and soups, baked chicken, lamb, etc. Their family dinner is the best though, and it is what we had last night. Fifteen bucks each filled a table and a half with food for four people. Every possible side dish you could imagine. A huge plate of grilled meats and veggies. Two kinds of stew. I am not kidding. We each ate two plates of food and still came home with a couple pounds of leftovers. If you are ever in S.A. check it out.
That was pretty much it for me yesterday.
Didn't meditate this morning. I couldn't sleep last night and had a hell of a time waking up. Bad, bad, bad.
