Happy New Year!!! for the Chinese at least XD
Right, it's Chinese New Year, also known as Lunar New Year because it's based on Lunar calendar by predicting the movement of the moon, so it's full moon on the first day of Chinese New Year, which is cool imo :D
I,as expected,went back to my beloved hometown, Medan. I remembered when I bought the ticket last year, I was considering not going back this year, as I was thinking that because I was in the middle of internship, it's better if I don't go back at all, though in the end I'm glad I did go back home as I just found out in the last minute that there's nobody at home during CNY ~_~
Back in Medan, well I didn't go anywhere much, just eat, sleep and buy some stuff. On the New Year itself, as it's a Sunday, we went to church first, then right after that we went to visit my relatives, starting from my paternal grandmother then followed by my maternal side relatives. It's extremely exhausting, but the feeling of receiving 'red packets' are a great blessing ahahaha~~
Then the last night of my stay in Indonesia, my parents invited some of their church friends to have dinner together with us. My mum cooked the famous Corn soup, fried noodles, fried chicken, Thailand salad and some fried food that I'm not sure what the name is XD They were all delicious, and spicy as well. When everyone is going back, my family was prayed for by my parents' friends, including me. I remembered he pray that after graduation, even though currently Singapore is limiting foreign workers, I will receive my work permit no matter what, I receive that in Jesus name!!
Oh yeah, I almost forgot, I changed my hairstyle!! woohoo after sporting curly hair for two years, I changed back to straight hair, I didn't smooth it, the hairdresser just chopped off my curly hair, and it's already straight, though it's still maintaining the wavy bit but not that much. So I need to properly blow dry my hair if I wanted to maintain the straight hair or else it'll go wavy again.
Anyway, it's a short stay but I'm happy nevertheless :D I took some pictures too!
