I shouldn't have gone to the service. But I had to. It's apparently a part of my duty to talk to those people. And while I suppose it should have served as a way to get to know people within the Ministry for the purpose of my own future, I see now it's almost no point to talk to them. Granted, there were a few who were polite to me, but the rest seemed to be offended by the fact that I am Head Boy -- because I am a Yaxley, and apparently my family has done a lot of damage towards the Ministry's reputation.
I am not going to say that my family was right to do all those things, but this is fucking ridiculous.
