Last weekend was by any stretch of the imagination an exciting time, it started out with mum and dad meeting up with Lauren and myself before we headed off down to Reading. Now the trip to Reading was fine but driving around Reading is an absolute arse mostly due to a virtual complete lack of decent signage in the town although it must be said that the AA instructions I was using where also a bit rubbish. Eventually though we signed in at the Novotel Reading which is quite pleasant and then had a nice Chinese meal at the Chinese restaurant next to it (which strangely we could look into from our bedroom) before sloping back to the hotel drinking wine and eating crisps and then collapsing into bed.
The next morning saw us up early as we where headed out to the main event and the whole point why we where in Reading - my graduation from the College of Estate Management and my collecting my post-grad diploma in Surveying. We had a pretty hectic morning in the end with a lot of trials and tribulations before finally getting to the University (mum and I got there before it started, dad and lauren got there just afterwards). Still it was all worth it all and I had a nervous and exciting time, getting robed, collecting my diploma, chatting with the president of the RICS and having photos taken.
So there we are I'm glad I'm finished, it was hard and tiring and sometimes my course felt like it would never end. Have a picture to reward yourself for reading my dribble...
More pictures later...
