Busy, busy

Lets back up...

May 4 -- The trip out to Green Bay was fun! Road trips with Arik are always a blast. My first time traveling with John Johnson. Ann Thraxx tagged along; too bad she didn't have an opponent out there to work.

As always, Samoa Joe impressed. He had a good stiff match with Silas Young.

Late night food at Perkins, and we didn't leave Green Bay until 11:30... which means we aren't back in Chippewa Falls until 2:30 a.m.! I go to sleep right away... but the alarm still gets me up at 6 a.m.! Argh! It's going to be a long day.

May 6 -- Twins win 7-6 with two runs in the bottom of the ninth! I'm now 3-0!

May 7 -- Twins win 4-2. Johan was sharp! I'm now 4-0!

May 7 -- I head up to Amery after the Twins game. Two really good matches on the show, as Kid Krazy fought Horace, and the Junk Squad battled the North Star Express. I'm really disappointed that the Cannon-Punisher-Prophet three-way was so short. Al B.C. is struggling to keep my interest.

I've been tired all weekend (starting with getting almost no sleep after Green Bay trip), so I head straight home after the show.

Busy work week... I attended a funeral May 9 for a woman who died in a fire... that was set by her estranged husband. Yes, being a reporter does suck sometimes.

May 13 -- Twins win 8-4, after trailing early 4-0! Yes, I am now 5-0! Good times with my best friend Joe and two of his co-workers.

So... I get home around 10 p.m. and I think I'm settled in for the night. WRONG. I get a text from Rain... and before you know it, I'm at a kareoke bar in Maplewood with Rain, Krazy, Horace and Frosty. Great, great times. Frosty left us, but the other four of us (including myself) head to IHOP. I eat, and I'm not hungry. Bad idea. Anyhow, before you know it, it is 3:45 a.m., and we say our goodbyes. What a blast. I feel so fortunate to have such good friends.

May 14 -- Obviously, I'm quite tired after being out so late. I made the snap decision, right at 3 p.m., to see a movie instead of going to Neo Pro. Good thing, too, because Neo Pro was canceled. I would have been irate if I had traveled down there! But, I saw "Poisedon." If you are going to see this... see it in the theater, just to see all the cool visuals & graphics.

I went to the Twins game that night. We scored 7 runs in the first... and we squandered every chance after that. Luis Castillo has been awesome all year... but he sucked on this night, hitting into a TRIPLE PLAY... the first Twin to do that in 10 years. He was hitless at the plate, and he made a costly, stupid error that cost us four runs. We lose 9-7 because of his mistake. Oh well. I'm still happy we have him. My record drops to 5-1.

Work week... wow, I've been busy. Sadly, I went to ANOTHER funeral this week, this time for a soldier who died in Iraq. Sadly, he was there only two weeks before getting killed. This is no fun at all.

So, I'm staying in CF Friday & Saturday, then I'm headed to Shimmer on Sunday. The trip (assuming it all goes as planned) is Rain, myself, Ann Thraxx and Molly Holly. My first trip with Nora, and it should be fun. I hope AT gets on the show again. We'll see.
