Not meant to be...
I'm back home. To say I'm disappointed would be a major understatement. I actually received a boarding pass, I had gotten the last seat on the plane (first class, no less), I was on the ramp to board the airplane, and the door to the gate was closed. Just as I was about to get on the plane, the gate agent opened the door and pulled me off. Someone showed up at 7:55. The flight should have left at 7:54. If it had left when it was supposed to, I'd be on my way right now. After all that happened, I was going to try for a flight to Chicago that left a few minutes later, connect there for a flight to Austin, and then I'd get in to Dallas about 3 this afternoon. Well, the airplane leaving for Chicago had a flat tire (and they were having to wait for a tire to come in from Boston) and was now going to be delayed for a couple of hours. So I'd miss my connection to Austin. All of this combined with having to come back in time to work Thursday night at 11 (and flights look horrible then too)... Well, it just seems like I wasn't meant to go. I'll never know why, but I'm sure there is a reason.
