Harry Potter 4 and American Cinemas

Okay, I joined the masses *giggle* and went to see Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. Like a lot of reviewers said, this part of the series relies on most of its viewers having already read the book so that they can piece the puzzle together. Not too much in the way of plot holes, though I did miss that they didn't put in about Harry giving his Triwizard winnings to the Weasley twins, but maybe they mention that in the next movie, because I thought that was important, but ending it the way they did seemed fitting also. They got the main plot points to move the story along, and I, for one, wasn't upset at all that the whole Rita Skeeter angle was left out...never really cared for that character, but, then again, I think that's the way Rowling intended to write her.

Now, on to a little rant about movie theaters. Whatever happened to silence is golden? I mean, when they show the "turn cellphones off during the movie", why is it so hard for people to just fucking do that? I mean, I've been to shows where more people than not are courteous enough to do so, but I went to one where this one guy behind me got a call, and proceeded to talk to his "dawg" for fifteen minutes! Um, dude, if you have to take that call, take it out in the lobby before I shove that lovely phone up your ass! Okay, I feel better now. Hope this week goes well, because I'm only working four days, since Thursday's Thanksgiving. Anybody got any special plans?

fun, movies, bitch
