Long Ass Kewl Weekend

Okay, sorry I didn't post until now, but I've just been oh so busy over the past few days. Can't remember what I did Wednesday, though I know work wasn't that great. Thursday, my friend Madison was in town visiting from New Orleans and so me and her and her man and her friend Judy all went out to Ybor. We ate at the Tampa Bay Brewing Company, although Madison ended up sneaking half of my salmon, which she said was a hell of alot better than her shepherd's pie, but whatever. lol We were planning on doing a little bar hopping, and then they were gonna take me back home. That is, until I realized that her man, who, up to that point I had thought was the designated driver, had ordered a double captain and coke when we got to the James Joyce. So, needless to say, I was NOT about to go anywhere with some guy I barely knew who was already drinking along with the rest of us. So, I ended up running into my friend Tony, and I said thanks to my friends for the time to hang out, but that I was going to let Tony take me home. It all worked out, but I would have liked it better if they'd actually had a DD. Anyways, didn't go to work on Friday, but rather helped out Mark, a friend of mine, with a golf tournament his troop was hosting. I was one of the jello shot girls, and apparently the only one of the ones who'd volunteered who showed up. I mean, there were these two girls with this one guy, but I guess he'd brought them along for him or something like that. Then there was this group of three girls that this group of guys had apparently rented for the day (I don't know either way). Anyways, some drama ensued with them about the jello shots or something, but at the end of it all, Mark told me that they weren't going to let something like that happen again next year. lol Well, Saturday, me and my bf went back to the Renissance Faire, and he actually bought a genuine Scottish kilt, though in the Blackwatch colors, which was still cool. Not only that, he wore it when a bunch of us headed to the Czar in Ybor, because they had an early copy of the new Garbage CD, which is one of Alanna's favorite bands. It was just so cute. We all ended up back at our place and they watched Tank Girl while I just tanked. So, here it is Sunday, and I don't have to go to work until 4!

food, friends, drinking, work, life
