Insanity Encarnate Weekend
Okay, I guess I'd have to say that the craziness started on Thursday night, when me and some friends went to Fat Daddy's in Dunedin to seee my friend Stick Martin play. Well, I've gained a recent affinity for cherry flavored vodka, but apparently didn't understand how much they can differ in taste from brand to brand. Well, I asked for cherry vodka, but apparently whomever ordered that brand must've been sick that day, because it tasted like coguh syrup! Ugh! But, they also had Absolut Raspberri, so I had that with my coke, and that was MUCH better. Well, I'm there sitting on Tim's lap, bouncing in time to the music, and Hanna is grinning, because she can see the look on his face while we're busy playing TriTowers on the computer. lol Well, suffice it to say we all soon decided that we should all head home. :D Had a very enjoyable evening after that, the only problem being that I went to straddle sitting up, I realized that Tim was a little too long for me to be able to do that comfortably. hee hee No matter; I enjoyed myself nonetheless! But, on the way up there, I'd gotten a call from Steve from Deja Vu, and he promptly put me on the phone with Jason, who asked me when we were going to come out there and meet up with him and Gauge. I said we were busy that night, but we were free on Friday after I got off of work. So, I spent all day Friday in a very good mood cuz I was gonna be meeting Gauge again. (For info on the first time, check out my Internexxx Miami entry from August '04 here.) But I also guess that karma was with me that day, because I also ended up having a bangup day at work to boot! So we get to Deja Vu around midnight and get to catch the tailend of her first show. (She had shows at midnight, 1, and 3.) I basically ended up staying there, chugging energy drinks, til about 4 am, which, for anyone who knoes me is an absolute fucking miracle. (Yeah, was getting a little whiny, but stopped while drooling at some of the cute chicks working there that night.) I also got a pic with her and Rich:
And yes, I've dyed my hair again, though it was at least a month ago, but (just about) everybody says that they like my hair like this now. But, we got back home around 5 am, and I just took my contacts out and crashed. Didn't wake up til about noon or so, and spent the first couple hours awake watching my weekly recorded shows, since I do this so that I don't miss my 6 favorite shows, but can go out at night and not worry too much. Anyways, was going to go to my best friend's daughter's birthday, but had to make a side trip to Fat Daddy's, cuz I left my keys there Thursday night. We ended up getting there around 4 pm and ended up staying for about four hours. And, this is the first time we've been up to see them since the shit hit the fan and I was glad to know that they stood behind us on this. That was basically my Saturday, since those two little ones are so exhausting, and ended up crashing around 10 and didn't wanna get outta bed this morning, cuz I have a nice heated waterbed now, and it was just sooooo comfy! lol
