Life Needs to Be Better

I don't know what exactly is up with my life, whether it be my personal one or my professional, but I seem to be in a slump for some reason. I mean, granted, I've had a few decent days at work, but I've also had days when I don't get a dance at all. It's a little frustrating, especially since this time of way is supposed to be our best time of year (September to May), since we've got more people coming down to Florida for vacations and business trips. I try to make sure I have a good attitude and be pleasant with the customers, but at the same time, I don't want to lie to them and make them think they're gonna be able to get more than dances in the back, because they won't. So I end up, like Thursday, sitting and talking with about half a dozen guys that day, but they were either looking to fuck me (not in this lifetime, buddy), or they ended up going into VIP with another girl. But, at the same time, I did pretty good on Friday, but two outta five isn't gonna be able to reasonably pay my bills. *sigh* Maybe today will be better...who knows.
But, on to the nicer things in life. Really enjoyed Friday night- a bunch of friends of mine all decided to go to one of the local clubs...I had picked it, deliberately not telling them it was more of a gay club than a chick club. *smirk* I have nothing against the gay community, but I was teasing my friend Jon, who is the sweetest, but most straightlaced of all my friends. Well, I didn't know there was a revue that night, and well, apparently one of the performers really liked Jon, and we all had fun at his expense. (Though I have a feeling he'll probably get me back for that stunt sooner or later.) I also ended up winning a free drink in the keychain drawing, so that was fun, tho I had had just enough drinks in me to fall asleep for almost the entire ride home. Got up Saturday and spent a good portion of the morning washing laundry and switching my clothes around again, since I don't think I'll need my sweaters much anymore. (But, whenever it gets below 60, I'm always wearing them damn things! I'm a wimp- so sue me.) Anyways, finished watching my weekly tapes, since that way, I can watch all six shows I enjoy, but don't have to worry about whether or not I wanna go out with my friends if I wanted to. (It's Cold Case and Crossing Jordan on Sundays, Medium on Mondays, Law and Order: SVU on Tuesdays, Law and Order on Wednesdays, and CSI on Thursdays.) Yes, I'm a kinda TV junkie. :D So, went over to Rob's house for a cookout bonfire with Rich, Lana, Jon, and Tony. Well, we had all pitched in on foodstuffs and such, and I'd seen a new Low Carb Pizza, so I decided to try it. But, when I went to put it in the oven, I had a surprise- apparently they had cooked an apple pie about a week ago, and, well, forgot about it! We all had a laugh about it as I chucked the damn thing into the garbage. But, we all had fun cooking sausages, hot dogs and making smores around the bonfire....Want to do that more often, now that I know Rob has enough room on his property to do so.
