Been Having Fun
I've definitely been enjoying having my whole weekend free, to be sure. I had a friend of mine bring me by a drive full of 6 gigs of music for me to go through...thank you very much, Daniel! Just recently finished going through it all, and now I have a lot more music for me to enjoy at the gym....it'll also come in handy if/when I go on my trip later on this year. (I'm hoping to be able to take a week off to go take a break and visit family back in DC...we'll see if I'll be able to or not later.) I also recently got the last part of Diana Gabaldon's Outlander series, so I'm going back through the series to remind myself of everything before that....I'm on Drums of Autumn now,
which is the second of six set in Scotland and America before, during and after the second Jacobite Rebellion of 1745...yes, this geek is a big British history buff. :"> It's a very engaging series for anyone who like well-researched historical fiction. Spent some time last night out with friends at Whiskey Park North....wasn't all that impressed, considering all the to-do about it and Whiskey Soho...though I did enjoy the very eclectically stocked bookshelves they had up on the second level...saw at least half a dozen books I would have loved to sneak out if the purse I was carrying had been bigger than a handkerchief. *sigh* I did have fun, though, and ended up coming back and having some quite satisfying sex before falling asleep with my naked bedmates. See? I told ya this year was gonna be more fun!
