Death is futile. By dying you only allocate your body to other aspects of the universe. Taking in mind the chaos theory and the probability parallax, there is always a chance that you'll find yourself in a similiar spot, only stickier.
Pope was English... he may just be in the text book. If you're not sure with Lanval, you could always do an Elizabeth Barrett Browning poem? Just throwing out some suggestions
