Bellys, babies and college

Jul 25, 2007 10:03

My regular shirts, such as my current pajama shirt, keep creeping up over my belly. It's HOT let me tell you.

Loran went out and bought our favorite stroller and carseat. It's really our first big baby purchase, other than the crib mattress. It's so weird. Of course, we couldn't wait and we unboxed it and he put the stroller together last night. I put the sun shade on the infant seat! It's pretty exciting now that I'm starting to feel it move a little. Loran started reading the Illiad to the baby. I just stare off into space, I should pay attention, but it's too much like 11th grade English with Kuzma.

My sister got her roommate assignment for Mankato. The girl contacted her initially through facebook! So I went on her facebook page to see her roommate and noticed she's part of a whole MSU -Mankato community of incoming freshman and it's even further divided by halls and floors, she essentially knows who lives on her floor and has been conversing with them online. Seriously, how nice would that have been? A lot of the fear about arriving to school on the first day would be alleviated. I'm going to take her shopping at Ikea once she has talked to her roommate and knows what she needs so that will be really fun! I'm going to be an emotional wreck the day I help move my sister into school!

This weekend, tomorrow actually, I'm going on a scrapbooking retreat in St. Croix Falls and I'm so exciting. It will be so relaxing and fun to hang out with my girls! Loran's going to refinish the floors in the nursery since I can't be around that. Then when he's done, I'll start painting and decorating! Eeeeeee!

I realize my journal is all baby all the time now. But really, what else do I have going on that's as monumental? I'm growing a human. Plus, it's my journal! Four plus years ago, it was all wedding all the time. Such is life...literally!

I need to shower, and get ready for my day. I need to pack for tomorrow so I need to do laundry, make a Target run, get my hair cut and colored and meet Loran and friends at Old Chicago! Today is jam-packed!
