Sometimes... miracles happen.

My cousin Sarah has been in a bad spot since her parents died in a motorcycle accident about 15 years ago. She's had 2 different husbands, and had two beautiful girls (one with each husband.) A few years ago she signed up with the army, left the girls with their fathers, and has been preparing to go to Iraq.

She just finished her training in the desert where 2 of the people in her unit died for various reasons, but mainly because her unit just wasn't ready to go. She was set to deploy any day.

She had some leave before she was shipped off, so she went to see her girls. On of her girls hasn't been going to school (and wasn't really being cared for very well), and her father and his girlfriend have been using Sarah's social security to open credit cards. Although that's bad news it's lead to Sarah being honorably discharged.

She's not going to Iraq for a year with an incompetent unit. She's going to the U Penn instead on the GI bill, and is going to get to live with her new husband, his daughter, and her two daughters. The reasons why are unfortunate, but the outcome is just a miracle.
