There are a couple of things I love about this performance. I think SMAP really did a good job here. The arrangement was just awesome: 2Top started the song, then it were Goro-chan and Tsu's turns. While his elder brothers paired up, Shingo paired with the guest and had his own solo part. I especially love the duet part of 2Top at the end of the song ^^ I think their voices blended so well.
And I so love Nakai's serious look here. It's really cool. After all, I love Nakai the most when he gets serious, even though it's scary sometimes.
I knew about this song when watching a fanvid of 2Top, which must be more than one year ago. I was so hooked that I immediately searched the song, its name and translation. Finally I found the original version by Tokunaga Hideaki-san (the guest), and the translation as well. Overall, its lyrics is nice. But I don't always buy the feeling of loneliness, being drifted or abandoned ^^;
However, much as I love the song, I still end up repeating SMAP's version endlessly. I love it much more than the original version, because it was sung by the people I love, after all.
