Well, I spent a good part of last week reading through The Gates of Hell, an independent supplement for the Nine Hells in the D20 Great Wheel cosmology. All in all, it was a strong companion to Fiendish Codex II: Tyrants of the Nine Hells and The Manual of the Planes. The various creatures are well described and stat'ed from unique appearances and motivations to custom items and abilities. Best of all, the Lords of the Nine and their respective planes fit together in a greater and greater sense as you drop from Avernus all the way to Nessus. The sections on the Nine Hells in The Manual of the Planes alludes to this underlying order, but the increasing sense of greater and more intrinsic domination is really establishing only in The Gates of Hell. Definetely worth a look if you plan on a Planescape campaign in arguably the most classic of adventurer vacation spots.
