DEATHPROD HAS MY MIND
i just got back home from my folks place
sitting on my bed
i read threw all the new facebook updates
i like looking at the pictures mostly
from here my shelf appears...
uniform
each book is where i placed it
and i think,
i like experiencing more than reading
i wonder if this changes.
poetry has been on my mind lately
more then usual i suppose
and i think it comes from
listening
to people talking
and
to a deathprod album
i want to have control over my attention span
when sometimes i don't.
when i listen closely to some one talking
i can watch my attention,
where it goes
and when it trails away
i feel insightful
into to my one nature
i have a tape recorder now
i love it
there should be no reason to sleep except for tiresome
but i find that i often
need to sleep
because tomorrow is coming
sooner and sooner
one summer ago i left a pair of canvas loafers at my parents house
in the bucket
later i visited my parents house
and my youngest brother
was wearing them
and wearing a hole in the left toe
i like them more
now
when i drove a car i would smoke in it
out the window
parliament-lights mostly
this was many years ago
i moved to seattle once and left my car behind
my kid brother drove it then
and told me once
he enjoyed the lingering smell.
i want to be thankful
but am distracted by thinking about it
so i forget about that
and just enjoy the company
