Today was awesome. Mostly because it made an effort not to be awesome, and I thwarted it.
It started at 10:30 am, when I awoke realizing that it was going to be unbearably humid. I fell back asleep. At noon, I went to my boss's house to check in (he's out of town). He called me from Oregon and tried to get me to do stuff for him and then he realized that I didn't have what I needed to do that stuff.
After finishing at work I stepped out into the hot, soupy air and said "Fuck this."
I went to Borders and sat in the cafe all day reading their books and drinking Santa Cruz Coffee Roasting Company coffee (as opposed to their coffee, which isn't fit to be in the same room with SCCR coffee).
So yeah. I escaped from the armpit weather and used Borders' merchandise while enjoying someone else's. Take that you corporate assholes! Take that humidity! PUNK RAWK.
