Portland is getting a Trader Joe's in 6 months.
I have this on pretty damn good authority: it was THE topic of conversation with Jacques and the 3 wine distributors I had lunch with today, plus Colleen, the wine manager at Whole Foods.
Jacques and Colleen were apprehensive, the distributors less so, but all regarded it as a fact. Personally, I'm ecstatic! I don't think TJs will compete all that much with the fine wine shops anyway.
